Orb MyCasting Service Now Available for Nokia N800 Internet Tablet

Today, Nokia and Orb Networks made a joint annoucement that Orb MyCasting is now available ofr use on the Nokia N800 Internet Tablet. Orb MyCasting is a service that allows you to use a mobile computer to access digital media stored on your home computer.

With the Nokia N800, which is essentially a mini computer itself, you can stream content from your home computer to the N800 using the Orb MyCasting service. This is great if you don't have a lot of storage left on your Nokia, but still want to enjoy a wealth of multimedia content. You can even remotely record television programs with Orb's DVR function, and then later play back the programs on the Nokia.

The service will be on display at the Web 2.0 Expo going on this week, and the MyCasting program can be downloaded free of charge from http://www.orb.com/n800. Check it out! I'll definitely want to check this out to use with my Nokia N800.
