Orange to Launch Mini Wind-Powered Phone Charger

|

cellphone_wind_charger.jpgOrange has recently announced the launch of a new prototype cellphone charge which relys on wind. The portable charger is a wonderful tool for those outdoor camping trips or long outdoor weekend concerts. The chargers weigh only 150 grams and are small enough to tote along on a trip. As the wind spins the turbine on the charger, the wind-generated power is stored for your return to your tent when a cellphone charging is needed. The devices are currently in a prototype stage and are not ready for a mass consumer market, since research is still at an early stage.
