opticon.jpg Barcoding.co.uk has launched an innovative new phone with a number of nice features, including the ability to scan barcodes. The phone is manufactures by Opticon, and is known as the H-16 model. Features of the phone include WiFi, Bluetooth, and Windows Mobile 5.0.

This PDA-style phone features a large LCD screen with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Utilizing Windows Mobile, users can also run mobile versions of Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Derek Stainton, managing director of Barcoding.co.uk, said: “The Opticon H-16 is the second generation of barcode scanning PDAs pioneered by Opticon which eliminate the need for costly purpose-made barcode scanners.”
