Opera has announced the availability of the Opera Mini 5 Beta for Android phones, promising a faster and cost-efficient web experience for people with Android smartphones. The Opera Mini 5 beta compresses data up to 90% before sending content to handsets resulting in faster page loading.

The Opera Mini 5 Beta features desktop-like capabilities which include Speed Dial, bookmarks, a password manager and tabbed browsing. The Opera Mini 5 Beta can now be downloaded at the Opera official website or the Android Market.
