Open source GPS for iPhone coming in February 2008

The Part Foundry has developed an a GPS module for iPhone, enabling GPS functionality on all jailbroken iPhones. Named as "locoGPS for the iPhone", it is currently under development and scheduled for shipping in February 2008.
The company claims this dongle will give iPhone users the ability to explore all the benefits of GPS on a platform that is small enough to put on a keychain. Moreover, Part Foundry is also testing locoGPS module with iPod touch.
The photo above is just a prototype and may change during the course of development. Since this is open source, it can continuously improve and its functions can evolve over time. You can also watch the prototype video here.
