Together I can answered and call from any of my cordless phones in the house. I come home and place my cell phone in a charger by the garage door and it connects automatically to the Xlink box. I have the Xlink connected to the ooma system as a line line type phone and the Xlink is also connected to my home cordless phone system. When I pick up the phone, my calls go out through the ooma system by default, but I can also go out through my cell phone if I want. On incoming calls the Xlink box will send either to the homecordless system and if I am on with my cell and a call comes in on the ooma side, then I will get a beep and caller ID will show the call. I can then FLASH to get it or let it go to voice mail. It is really a great setup. Free calls on OOMA but I still have my cell if needed.
