Only 11% Of All Wireless Users Are On 3G Networks

In a recent study by In-Stat, only 11 percent of all wireless users are on 3G networks. Presently in the US we have four major wireless carriers to choose from and all deliver 3G and one, Sprint, even delivers 4G via WiMax.

As GSM rivals rush to launch their 4G LTE networks, it is hard to admit that broadband mobile speeds are actually still a luxury. Right now there are only nine WiMax network deployed worldwide which goes to show that 2G networks are not exactly extinct yet.
