Two popular brands in the surf world – Oakley and Surfline – got together to create an iPhone Application that will surely please surfers around the world. Basically the app is able to provide real-time information from Surfline to iPhones, which means surfers don’t need to check the computer like they usually do.
The type of information provided includes weather, safety notices, reports, and more importantly, surf conditions. The free application that can be downloaded at the iPhone App store, or at iTunes in case you want to use it on a computer, also lets users bookmark their favorite surf spots, aka beaches.
Other features of the Oakley + Surfline iPhone App include:
- directions to beaches via map links
- info on surfing events
- videos made specifically for the iPhone
- general weather forecasts
