If all the mobile carriers in the UK were competing for the prize of being the fastest in the “mobile speed” category, the winner would be O2. This statement can be made thanks to a survey that was recently made, in which the tests shows that O2 had the best website access experience with a time of 1.7 seconds which is 30% faster than its competitors.

There were plenty of tests done, like downloading an audio file or the time it takes to load a page, and O2 was always on the front line.

Simon Page from SIRODA (company that made the survey), comments:

Networks have seen an enormous growth in data traffic in recent months and consumer interest in network quality has grown accordingly. This nationwide survey reflects actual customer experience in the places where data is in most demand. Regularly testing in this way helps identify areas for investment.
