Not Pulp Fiction: Tarantino does a SoftBank commercial in JapanBy Mark Rollins - 12/07/2009 1:26:06 PM |
We’ve reported on SoftBank’s extensive Japanese lineup of cellular phones for the winter, and they also make speakers in the shape of dogs. So who better to promote this device than Quentin Taratino? After all, he probably spent a lot of time in Japan for Kill Bill, so he probably had a chance to try out Softbank’s line for himself.
I’ve not been able to find a translated version of this ad, but this is an ad campaign that involves a family where the father is a dog, and certain relatives are not Japanese. I don’t get it either, but Quentin plays the uncle here, and his wife is telling him to go straight home.
Perhaps word will get out, and this speaker will come to the United States for American phones.
