Nokia Wants LTE by 2010, Not WiMAX

Nokia these days seems to be more interested in LTE than WiMAX. After canceling its 5810 WiMAX Edition in January Nokia is even more determined to check out LTE instead. According to a Nokia executive, “WiMAX has some place in the market, but we do believe it’s a niche play.”

Nokia will probably explore more with LTE and adopt it for its high-speed data technology. Nokia’s senior manager of technology marketing, James Harper said that Nokia will release LTE devices in 2010.
