Nokia to open store in London

|

NokiaStore1.jpgNokia is following in Apple's footsteps. Scheduled for this November, Nokia is opening its hi-tech store that let's Nokia fans test the latest handsets and Nokia multimedia computers before buying. Nokia says that live and ready to use phones will be placed beneath large LCD screens and when the consumer picks a phone up, it automatically activated a pop-up screen on the LCD that interacts and navigates the consumer through the device features, like a mini tutorial.

The store will also display and sell the manufacturer’s luxury line of Vertu phones, aside of course from Nokia’s other well-known branded handsets.

The Regent Street store will be Nokia’s eighth flagship store to roll out globally across 18 locations. And while Nokia’s new store will be great for consumers, it may spell bad news for high street mobile retailers like The Carphone Warehouse, as more manufacturers look to sell direct to customers.
