Nokia to open factory in Argentina

nokia-logo2Nokia has recently announced the possibility to open a new handset factory in Argentina, which makes all the sense for them because it must be cheaper to produce the devices there. In case you haven’t noticed, Nokia has been consistently moving its factories to lower cost countries so the overall price becomes less expensive, and this is only another move in that chapter.

The latest “cutting spree” from Nokia is relate to its Finnish factory and the plan is to cut 12% of its workforce.

Tapani Kaskinen from Nokia, confirms:

Nokia is investigating the possibility to arrange mobile device assembly in Argentina.
