Nokia to integrate Skype into Nseries devices

The free/cheap internet calling application from eBay has been available for many mobile platforms, including Symbian, but starting later this year, anyone buying a Nseries device will find Skype directly integrated into their device.  Both the companies announced at the ongoing MWC that the N97, which is set to release this June will be first of many devices that will have this feature.

Skype will be completely integrated into the Symbian S60 operating system, which means that if there is a Skype contact on the phone’s address book, users can call them for free over VoIP or call a cell phone/landline at an affordable price using either a 3G or a WiFi connection.

Nseries lovers can now look forward to taking advantage of Skype and its features, not to mention a considerable reduction in their phone bills and giving sleepless night to carriers around the world.
