The giant company on the cellphone market – Nokia – has announced the interest to buy OZ Communications – a provider of mobile messaging services that is located in Canada.
The main functions of OZ consist on providing access to instant messaging programs such as AOL, ICQ, Windows Live Messenger, and also to offer email services that work with Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, and others. Obviously, all these features are suppose to be made while using your cellphone.
At the moment OZ has a big number of paid users, more than 5.5 million, and by joining forces with Nokia that number will surely grow.
One of the main advantages for Nokia after completing the deal, is to to provide all the messaging solutions for specific cellphone models, the S60 and Series 40.
