Nokia Sues Apple for Infringement of Nokia PatentsBy Brian - 10/22/2009 1:21:04 PM |
Nokia has sued Apple for infringement rights on certain Nokia patents for GSM, UMTS and wireless LAN standards. The complaint was officially filed at Federal District Court in Delaware where Nokia claims that their patents were infringed by all Apple iPhone models since 2007. Nokia has been a known leader in GSM development and has actually invested over 40 billion EUROS on research and development. Other than GSM, Nokia has also authored the evolution of UMTS / 3G WCDMA as well as wireless LAN which is without question present in most Apple iPhone devices.
