Nokia completes the Avvenu acquisition

|

avvenu.png Nokia sure are keeping their PR people busy today. In the latest annoucement from Nokia, they've revealed that they have now completed their acquisition of Avvenu (www.avvenu.com). The acquisition was initially announced December 4, 2007, and was completed today. Avvenu provides secure remote access and private sharing technology, which allows users to access and view PC files remotely, even when their PC is off.

The acquisition makes a lot of sense for Nokia, as a manufacturer of a wide variety of mobile devices. In acquiring Avvenu, Nokia now says that they plan to further enhance their portfolio of solutions for mobile operations, as well as deliver a secure file access and share service direct to mobile workers. Sounds pretty neat!
