Nokia Claims New Handset Isn’t New Product

A few days ago we found this new Nokia phone waiting around to be discovered on a slide. It was totally different than what we already know and expect from Nokia. A new shape, new touchscreen interface, new OS. You know, everything needed to make us dream about a new phone.

But Nokia crushed our dreams and denied the existence of such a phone:

The story you sent over was from a non-public presentation that discussed some UI enhancements – NOT a new product. The form factor shown was a generic form factor and not meant to showcase a new device / product.

Isn’t it weird how Nokia denies the whole thing? Are we allowed to dream about a totally new Nokia? Is the Finnish manufacturer trying to cover its tracks? What do you think?
