Nokia Becomes the First Phone Maker to Add Energy Saving Alerts to Mobiles

nokia_1650.jpgNokia has introduced the first mobile phones to include energy saving alerts on some it its handsets. The new feature will be soon be offered on the Nokia 1200, Nokia 1208, and Nokia 1650 series. . The Alerts will remind users to unplug the charger once the batteries are full, in effort to save electricity.

Nokia has been working on using the minimum amount of electricity for their chargers along with the messaging alerts. In fact, last year the newest range of chargers were awarded an Energy Star by the Environmental Protection Agency. The charger additionally greatly exceeded EPA standard but using 50-70% less energy.
