Nokia 7900 and 7500 Prism Cell Phones for the Style-Conscious

Nokia unveiled the new Prism collection aimed at style-conscious consumers. The collection includes the new Nokia 7900 Prism and the Nokia 7500 Prism handsets. Available in new colors, the handsets are highlighted by the material used to manufacture them as well as the graphics. The diamond-cut design and angled lines set them apart from run-of-the-mill handsets.

Nokia 7900 Prism
The 7900 Prism (on the left) features a licorice-black front and anodized aluminium backcover and is laser-etched in Nokia Prism's signature diamond-cut design. A battery-saving Organic LED main display offering 16 million colors is the highlight, and it handles a living wallpaper that changes throughout the day according to the time and battery and signal strength. A choice of 49 illumination colors is possible on the Nokia 7900 Prism. The selected color radiates from under the key-mat. It comes with a 2 megapixel camera, 1GB of internal memory and is a quad-band 3G cell phone. There doesn't appear to be any support for microSD memory cards. Priced at €400, it will be available in Q3 2007.

Nokia 7500 Prism
The 7500 Prism also features a black exterior, and offers interchangeable color accents. A 2 megapixel camera is available on-board and it can also record videos. This differs from the 7900 in that a microSD memory card slot is provided, and it can take in up to 2GB cards. The Nokia 7500 Prism is priced at €210.
