Nokia 3500 Classic Cell Phone Gets FCC Nod

The Nokia 3500 classic cell phone which we recently saw on the Whack has got the approval from the Federal Communications Commission, paving its way to enter the US and other markets. A neat little phone that is both affordable and functional, the Nokia 3500 features a 2 megapixel camera and the ability to update phone software over the air.
There is also a microSD memory card slot on this entry-level phone. As with other entry-level phones from Nokia, this one featuers a Navi-key interface. It also offers a mini-USB connector for syncing data with your computer. There is also a POP3/IMAP4 email client on the phone. It comes with Bluetooth support as well.
The USB data cable allows the phone for data transfer or image printing, with the following modes available to the user:
- Nokia mode - to use the cable for PC Suite
- Printing and media - to use the phone with a PictBridge compatible printer or PC
- Data storage - to connect to a PC that does not have Nokia software and use the phone as a data storage device
Priced at €135 before taxes and subsidies.
