We’ve tackled a lot of cell phones out here, some significantly more so than others.  We’ve seen phones that rival Swiss army knives for sheer utility and some phones that replace an army of mobile devices.  But today, we’re going to take it down a notch and look at a vastly, VASTLY simpler phone, the Nokia 2330.

The Nokia 2330 is a candy bar style cell phone that offers conference call capability, Bluetooth connectivity, speakerphone, caller ID, a five hundred name and number capacity phone book, mobile email, mobile web, support for Java applications, a .3 megapixel camera, alarm clock, calculator, stopwatch, hands free headset (included in the package!) and a battery that offers three and a half hours of talk time on a single charge.

Yes, the charge on this one is pretty short.  The camera is low-res and the options aren’t there in any great quantity.  But for those of you out there–and I know there are some of you out there–who want a phone that makes calls and doesn’t do much else to get in the way, then the Nokia 2330 should be the kind of phone you’ll love to work with.  It’s incredibly simple.  Most users should be able to pick this thing up and know all its ins and outs within about a half hour or so.  The learning curve on this is so shallow that it’s almost a straight line.

So if you’re looking for simple, then start by looking at the Nokia 2330.
