Who said that this edition of CES should only bring us hot but complicated future gadgets? Nokia knows we are living during harsher times so the company has brought us a new basic phone, the Nokia 1006. It’s a candybar phone which will get you talking to your friends and family, but that’s pretty much it will do for you. The display comes with 262,000 colors, there are olyphonic ringtones, wallpapers and screensavers to play with. A 500-contact phone book, a voice recorder, a speakerphone and Bluetooth are also in that 1006 hanset.

The phone will arrive in the first quarter of the year and it will probably be offered for free in many countries with different plans.
