Here is something that is sure to make those conducting sketchy business let out a sigh of relief – The Supreme Court of Ohio has officially deemed it illegal to search someones cellphone without first acquiring a search warrant.
The court reached its conclusion by saying a cellphone is a device capable of storing private digital information. This means that it would be against the Fourth Amendment to search it without a search warrant.
Tally up one win for privacy!
