Nintendo has come forth today to announce that they will be letting us in on the official release date for their highly sought after Nintendo 3DS portable gaming console. Why exactly they wouldn’t just wait until the 29th to give us the information rather than telling us what they will be telling us a few months early, is beyond me.

However, if you’re not familiar with the Nintendo 3DS and are in to portable gaming you should definitely become well versed with it. Thanks to a special 3D screen the Nintendo 3DS will be capable of displaying a 3D image without the need for those annoying 3D glasses. Additionally, the 3DS will feature not one, but two camera on the rear for taking 3D pictures in addition to a front facing web cam-esque camera presumably for Skype among other things.

So folks, mark your calender, Nintendo will be announcing the launch of the Nintendo 3DS on September 29th.
