Nintendo speaks of “social gaming” for the DSi XLBy Mark Rollins - 03/18/2010 1:15:04 PM |
Sure, social networking like Twitter and Facebook is pretty popular, which is why Nintendo is changing their marketing strategy for the DSi XL.
Sure, the DSi XL has a larger screen (93 percent bigger than the DSi lite), but the company wants to “significantly boost the social fun of portable gaming”. According to my source, this is a way to to get everyone gathered around the large screen with games like America’s Test Kitchen: Let’s Get Cooking and WarioWare: DIY.
Umm, so is the “social” aspect not a way to get Facebook and Twitter on the DSi? It really should be, honestly. Maybe it’s for mobiles. Anyway, the DSi goes on sale March 28 for $190.
