Nike Speed+ Watch, No iPod Needed
The new Nike Speed+ watch appeared on Nike's European website for a brief period of time, after which it disappeared. However, it was up long enough for us to get some information and photos of the device.
The Nike Speed+ watch will communicate with the Nike+ sensor, without the need for an iPod. So if you already have the Nike+iPod sensor, when this watch comes out you'll be able to use the sensor with it as well. This is a great option for those without iPods or that have other MP3 players, but still want to use the Nike+ workout tracking features.
According to the product description that was up on the site, the watch will feature wireless integration with the Nike+ in-shoe sensors. It will display distance, pace, elapsed time, and calories burned on the watch's LCD backlit display. A USB port is included on the watch, which will allow you to download data to the Nikeplus website to track your progress.
Pricing and launch date have not yet been revealed.
