That’s right folks, Toshiba has seen the light and the company seems to like the mobile business. According to leaked documents Toshiba will launch devices with Snapdragon processors inside and running Windows Mobile 6.5. And we’re hoping that the leaked 2009/2010 leaked Toshiba roadmap isn’t just a clever rumor.
We should expect two new TG-series mobile phones, two K-Series MIDs and a L-Series Internet Tablet. They will be all running Windows Mobile 6.5 and they will have 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processors under the hood. We will see more of those from Q4 2009 to Q1 2010 so stay tuned for more.
Until then we have some hot details about each of them! Here goes…
Toshiba TG02 is a new handset:
• 4.1-inch WVGA touchscreen
• 1GHz Snapdragon processor
• Windows Mobile 6.5
• 3.2 megapixel camera
• HSDPA
• Integrated GPS
• IPX4 water resistant
• Thickness of 9.9 mm
The TG03 will be a multimedia-centric phone:
• 4.1-inch WVGA touchscreen
• 1GHz Snapdragon processor
• Windows Mobile 6.5
• 5 megapixel camera
• 5.1 channel speaker
• HSDPA
The Toshiba K01 is an MID which features:
• QWERTY slider
• 4.1-inch display
• 1GHz Snapdragon processor
• 3.2 Megapixel Camera
• Windows Mobile 6.5
The K02 should be smaller and cheaper but it is also impressive in specs:
• 3.5-inch display
• 1GHz Snapdragon processor
• 3.2 megapixel camera
• Windows Mobile 6.5
The L01 Toshiba Internet Tablet is still a mystery. Expect the following features and more:
• 7-inch screen
• 1GHz Snapdragon processor
• Windows Mobile 6.5
• What looks to be a removable or separate wireless keyboard
