Sure, we were all excited about the announcement of the Droid X, but what about the Droid 2?

There has been a rumor afoot saying that the Droid 2 will debut on August 23, and will have Android 2.2 installed. It will be the first phone out of the box with Froyo. It would appear that the Droid X and Droid 2 are almost the same, but the Droid 2 has that nice slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

Personally, I think if the rumor was that the Droid 2 will come out on August 22nd with Android 2.2. I would suspect that Two-Face was behind it.
