The timing couldn’t have been better. There is a new app over at the Apple app store and it is the IndyCar application for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The latest app which becomes available just in time for Sunday’s Indy 500 comes with a lot of features for the IndyCar racing enthusiasts.

Among the highlights of this new app include:

  • Near real-time race action videos that are updated as race events occur. Pit incidents, crashes, finish line action, the winner’s circle and more are delivered to IndyCar Series fans within minutes.
  • Follow race leaders live on the track with a ‘Live Gap View’ for fans - a visual representation of the gap between the race leader and other drivers during live race events.

The IndyCar application is available for $0.99 from Apple’s App Store on iPhone and iPod touch
