New Apple Patent: Automatic Volume Control for iPods

|

iPod_mar.jpg

Apple is considering the repercussions of listening to their iPods for extended periods of time in long volumes. The safe range of digital music listening should be below 70 decibels. iPods, however, can go to a full 100 decibel -- that's as loud as a chainsaw at work. The new feature will automate the lowering of volume as one goes on listening. Ensuring we won't go deaf in a few years' time is a great move by Apple. We hope this concept pulls through.
