NBC announced a slew of iPhone apps, each linked to a “Locals Only” city-site by NBC. The app allows users to connect with the latest news, infotainment. Currently the following cities are covered: San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Dallas Fort Worth, New York, San Diego, Philadelphia, Washington, Chicago, Connecticut and Miami.

You get access to content from the NBC editorial teams as well as city dwellers - including sharing the latest happenings, offer opinions and - wait for it - anonymous confessions on the go. These iPhone/iPod touch apps use NBC’s SoMyCity social media feature and can be integrated with your Twitter and Facebook accounts. You can also customize the content you want to access using the filter feature.
