Navizon Virtual GPS now Available for the iPhone
Now, you can take your iPhone anywhere - literally! Mexens Technology today announced the availability of Navizon, its Virtual GPS system, for the iPhone. Now, you are assured of always finding your way, as long as your iPhone is with you.
Based on Navizon's Wifi and Cellular tower triangulation techniques, this new software will help iPhone users find their way in the world.
Navizon is a positioning system that triangulates signals from Wifi access points and Cellular towers. It is based on a collaborative database where users can contribute wireless beacons' locations that will let other members of the community simulate a Virtual GPS on their device. This is why Navizon is often referred to as the Peer to Peer positioning system.
In addition to the iPhone, Navizon is also available for Windows XP/Vista, Mac OSX, Windows Mobile, Blackberry, Symbian and UIQ devices as well as some Java phones.
