Some of you will be pleased to know that when you purchase the myTouch 3G Slide, you are eligible to get the Android 2.2 update (Froyo) as early as next week.

This news comes from a T-Mobile employee, who is hopefully correct. The Nexus One has not received its update yet, and considering that is the Google phone, it would be weird if a T-Mobile phone got into the Froyo first.

I suppose that we’ll just have to see how this one plays out. Something tells me the ending might not be what you would expect.
