Gizmodo reports that a 9-cell, 7800mAh battery for the MSI Wind is now available for preorder from a third-party vendor, if that doesn’t disturb you a single bit. It is priced at $180, offering a rather nice upgrade to the battery life – roughly six hours of run time according to the site’s calculations.
The battery weighs a whole pound, though, and it won’t be too nice when all you want is a small ultraportable. If you do pack an Asus or other netbooks, you can check out their other, often bigger batteries.
