MSI Introduces New Wind Series Notebooks
MSI or Micro-Star International, a computer hardware manufacturer most well known for desktop computer motherboards but also design and manufacture graphics cards, barebone PCs, notebook computers, networking products, servers, multimedia, consumer electronics, and storage devices, has introduced its newest innovation, the Wind series notebooks.
This is the company's contender for ultra-portable and low-cost PC's like Asustek Computer's Eee PC. The Wind will feature an 8.9 or 10-inch display with 1024×600 resolution. In addition, it will include a 2.5-inch hard drive with storage capacity of 80GB and will probably weigh about 1kg. The notebooks will include Windows XP and hasn't mentioned support for Linux. It is expected to be priced at around 299-699 Euros (US$470-1099).
