I bought the V950 for my wife who previously used the ic502. Direct connect was priority. I was impressed with all of the bells and whistles that came with this phone.
Her old phone, the ic502 has the iden PTT and CDMA phone, but is not dual mode (800/1900mhz) and lacks the luster of Sprint’s power vision.
The V950 has EVDO, Bluetooth, GPS, Power Vision (High speed internet, Sprint TV, etc). It has the Qchat PTT which works great. And best of all its dual mode (800/1900mhz) so she now has service at her parents house (800mhz roaming).
We took a few pictures and they turned out quite nice (my phone adds about 30 ft to each shot). What I saw on the display was accurately portrayed in the photo.
It has a sexy interface with one additional theme (also nice). I have not seen any other reviews on this phone yet (as its new), but I expect nothing but positive.
just got this phone today. very nice phone. i switched back to sprint just for this phone. its not like any other nextel phone you have ever put your hands on.

Beware! Nice phone, but no direct connect available where I live in the Midwest. I’m going to have to switch back to Nextel because we use the DC at work. Also, call quality and signal strength are much, much worse than my old Nextel i860. Internet works quickly though.
