While there is certainly no drought of Android powered devices on the market – what there may be a drought of is rugged Android powered devices on the market. Luckily, Motorola is on the scene with their Android powered i1 which is expected to hit Sprint on July 25th for $149 with a 2-year contract.

We’ve told you about this device before in a review and again when it hit Boost Mobile but this time it’s making the  jump to a bigger carrier calling hot devices like the HTC EVO 4G its brethren.

The Motorola i1 is a rugged device able to withstand most environmental pressure including vibrations, rain, dust and shock and features a 3.1-inch touchscreeen, WiFi, a 2.5 mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 2.0 a 5 megapixel camera with video recording and of course Android 1.5.

So again, if this is something that interests you, mark down July 25th on your calendar as the Motorola i1 will hit Sprint then for $149.
