Motorola CPEi 100 WiMax Desktop Device Announced

|

motorola_logo.jpegThe list of gadgets we'll be seeing in next week's CES Convention sure is growing rapidly. Motorola just announced that they're also showcasing the new model in their WiMAX CPE (customer premises equipment) line -- the CPEi 100. It features a single data port and a 2.5 GHz “plug-and-play” WiMAX solution. The CPEi 100 is part of Motorola's WiMAX 802.16e CPE portfolio and of MOTOwi4 broadband access products.

“Performance and ease-of-use are essential to motivate consumers to upgrade to higher performance wireless broadband technologies, “said Fred Wright, Motorola senior vice president, Cellular Networks and Broadband. “The CPEi 100 provides that experience and enables WiMAX operators to offer a home device that consumers can install and setup in only a matter of minutes.”

Watch out for Motorola CPEi 100 in Motorola's booth on CES next week.
