Motion Computing LE1700 Tablet PC Gets FCC Approval
Motion Computing's new tablet PC, the LE1700, got the FCC's blessings. So yeah, it still runs Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005. Motion Computing claims a long battery life on the LE1700. It's equipped with USB 2.0 ports, and a DVI-D port allowing you to connect the tablet's display to a bigger monitor.
One of the interesting features of the LE1700 is the SIM card slot, letting you take advantage of wireless broadband over HSDPA networks. The tablet also supports 802.11 a/b/g wireless LAN. More wireless freedom with integrated Bluetooth as well.
All in all, an interesting tablet. As a regular notebook/tablet user, I know its advantages and disadvantages. The LE1700 definitely surpasses my expectations on battery life: up to three hours on a full charge.
No word on the pricing yet, but the Motion Computing LE1700 Tablet PC should hit the markets soon.
