18 Feb 09 MobiTV Awarded Best Mobile TV Service
One thing about being able to watch TV on your mobile phones is the scope of entertainment in the form of channels you can get. Apparently, MobiTV has been around and has demonstrated ability to stimulate widespread adoption across existing carrier networks. And to that note, they have been awarded the Best Mobile TV service provider at the Global Mobile Awards held at Barcelona.
MobiTV already serves a compelling mobile TV experience featuring popular content and primetime channels to over 6 million subscribers on more than 300 handset models.
“At MobiTV we know mainstream adoption of mobile television is dependent on compelling user experiences and content that is relevant to the consumer,” said Charlie Nooney, CEO MobiTV. “By providing features like immediate session start, fast channel change and a simple user interface, MobiTV is giving users the experience they expect. The GSMA have recognised that in the award we received.”
