Good for them. I should end this post here. I mean if I had all the money in the world and then some I still wouldn’t choose any expensive phone just because others like me do. But in all fairness to the mobile world I feel I have to show you Mobiado phones too. Maybe it will put things in perspective for you and you will realize that a smartphone for $299 might just be worth it.

Mobiado’s two new phones are the Professional 105 EM and Professional 105 GCB. And let me show you some of the specs for each model.

The Professional 105 EM is made out of hardwood, aluminum (all good up to here) and sapphire crystal, and 24 karat gold. It comes in two versions, the Cocobolo and the Ebony. That’s about it for the 105 EM. The Professional 105 GCB is made out of gold. It is actually plated with a 5 micron thick 24 karat gold. The screws are made from gold plated brass whereas buttons are plain sapphire crystal hand painted with 24 karat gold. I wonder if they actually work as cell phones.

But wait, there’s more. The back of these two new phones is made out of large sapphire crystal with a wear resistance second only to diamond. Wow! I needed that resistance. As for the battery, it will have an unique and hidden sliding battery cover mechanism made of one piece of sapphire crystal.

Both phones are quad-band GSM/EGSM and dual-band WCDMA. They will be sold of course unlocked. If you have the money for one of those, simply go get your self a nice car instead and a cool phone set containing one of the following: iPhone 2, Touch Diamond, BlackBerry Thunder, Samsung Instinct.
