MIT computer mimics human vision

|

mit_humanvision.jpgA team of neuroscientists Massachusetts Institute of Technology have built a computer with a human-like vision system that accurately classify cars, people and objects in a busy street scene.

The model computer contains 10 million computational units in which each is engineered for a specific part of our vision process. Currently the computer has been designed for only still images, but moving pictures will follow which is crucial for being able to identify and rank obstacles and risks. It is an amazing how this powerful computer can mimic the human eye.
