Ruggedized cell phones may not have much utility with the general public, but once in a while, you start to think may be that is the solution after all, coping with a dropped and broken handset once in a while. Which is why Verizon already has it covered with their G’zOne line of mobile phones and now it’s AT&T’s turn to go unbreakable. Apart from being sturdy on the outside, the Samsung a837 also finds time to pull off push to talk, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE dual-band UMTS/HSDPA 850MHz/1900MHz, aGPS with AT&T Navigator, and a 1.3 megapixel camera. Sounds pretty mid range to us, but nevertheless an option to consider if you are in the construction or heavy duty business. September 15th will see its release with an approximate $99 to $150 price tag.
