We’ve seen Windows Live Messenger on the PC for some time now but what we haven’t seen is a Windows Live Messenger branded phone.Well, those days are over as Microsoft has inked a deal with French wireless provider SFR for the Messenger Edition 251, pictured above.

This device, as you can see, is not running Microsoft’s recently announced Windows Phone 7 Series mobile operating system, but instead looks to be running some version of Windows Mobile.

Whatever the case may be, the chances of us ever seeing the Messenger Edition 251 handset his North American shores remains slim to none.
