Microsoft Invites You to Create Original TV Programming for Xbox LIVE Contest

Gamers using the Xbox 360 can not just play games and watch premium entertainment, they can create content for the system also. Microsoft and the New York Television Festival have created an Xbox Live Originals contest. Microsoft will be awarding the winner of the contest with $100,000 budget and an opportunity for a 6 episode commitment to air the television series on Xbox LIVE. The first episode of the winning series is scheduled to debut in September at the third annual New York Television Fesitival (NYTVF). This will be the beginning of the first user-created entertainment content available exclusively on the Xbox LIVE.

Entrants for the Xbox LIVE Originals must submit a short comedy production which runs between five to fifteen minutes long. Entries will be accepted from April 16 through June 29, 2007, from contestants in any country supporting Xbox LIVE.
