There has been a lot of rumors about the Google phone, and most of these sources have come from tweets from employees of Google itself.

So far, here’s what we sort of know:

1) It’s definitely an HTC Phone, probably the Passion/Bravo.
2) Thinner than an iPhone, and “like an iPhone on beautifying steroids”.
3) Has a trackball, but no physical keyboard.
4) Runs Android 2.1, that will be available sometime in January.

There is another rumor that I cannot confirm. If you hit “I’m Feeling Lucky” on google.com, you will see a countdown. Is it a countdown to the official announcement of the Google phone, perhaps?
