Mango Research Magic 380 Personal Navigation Device
NXP Software and Mango Research Corp. announced their Mango Research Magic 380 GPS navigational device. It is a complete Personal Navigation Device with an ideal form factor for use in the car. With its small size, it can be easily carried around and used in or out of vehicles.
The device features a high performance Samsung 32-bit processor and uses NXP’s swGPS Personal software. The software performs all the processing needed to measure signals to calculate your position in entirely in software eliminating the need for a GPS baseband chip. The device’s simple user interface makes operating simple and easy to use on its large Samsung TFT touch panel display. The Magic 380 is seems to be your traditional GPS device with a touchscreen display, stereo audio and an optional external RDS/TMC module for real-time traffic and data services. No word on pricing and availability.
