Make Your Own "iPhone" with Mavizen MyBlu
Mavizen has come up with a new device - MyBlu - that allows you to put together your own rudimentary "iPhone". MyBlu is a Bluetooth 2.0 device that allows you to connect your iPod to your mobile phone wirelessly. The controller connects to your iPod through the headphone jack, and features standard music player buttons.
When you receive an incoming call, the music will automatically pause so that you can answer the call. On the iPod screen caller ID information will display, so there's no need to pull out your actual phone. You also have the option to answer the call, or reject it - all through the controller. A microphone is also built-in to the controller, and works like a Bluetooth headset. No battery is needed as you can use your iPod as the power source.
Other nice features of the MyBlu device include voice activated dialing, redial, and the ability to display the last nine phone numbers. It also has a built-in FM receiver. You can view radio channel information on the iPod screen, and listen to it through your iPod.
The device is not yet available for purchase, but should be launching soon. No pricing details have been announced. Mavizen promises to add more information soon at their MyBlu dedicated site at myblu.biz.
