Magellan Maestro 4040 and 4050 Given FCC Approval

Magellan Maestro 4040 and Maestro 4050 GPS which we saw a few weeks ago on The Whack has just got the approval from the FCC. Another in the series, the Maestro 4000, has apparently been rechristened the Maestro 4010.

The Maestro 4050 comes pre-loaded with US/Canada/Puerto Rico maps. Weighing in at just 8.5 oz, the GPS device sports a spiffy 4.3" display. Data storage is on an SD memory card. The 4040 is quite similar, measuring in at 5" x 3.75" x 0.88".

The Maestro 4050's pricing is not available yet on Magellan's website, but the 4040 will cut you short by about US $499.99. Thanks to integrated Bluetooth support, both double up as a hands-free receiver for your cell phone.
